How are you supposed to feel when someone donates their time to "mentor" you.
Should you feel appreciative?
Should you feel in debt?
Should you feel important?
My mentor Cubby (I won't use his real name because I'm not really sure how he would feel about that) has impacted my business in so many ways.
He gave me insulation when we were in the shack so cold we could see our breath.
He always pushed me when times were tough.
He's been a consistent customer.
He's always given good honest advice.
He's always been willing to give up his time to help me with questions or just to talk strategy.
I've made more than a few decisions based on his advice that I'm not sure would have happened otherwise.
Your time is always valuable, but sometimes your time given to others can be priceless.
